Job summary

AdventHealth North Kansas City is hiring a registered nurse to join our acute care team. You will apply nursing knowledge, collaborate with physicians and families, and ensure safe, patient-centered care across shifts.

The ideal candidate has an ADN with 2+ years in acute care, NCLEX/ RN license, and strong communication. This full-time day-shift position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

Two or more years of acute care nursing experience.
NCLEX pass letter and/or active RN license required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; ADN required.

Responsibilities

Adheres to medication safety policies.
Maintains professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families.
Evaluates the nursing plan of care.
Communicates patient responses to the medical nursing plan to team members.
Participates in practice changes due to performance improvement activities.
Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring.
Supports quality standards and initiatives.
Maintains safe practice through unit-specific clinical competency and regulatory compliance.
Follows CDC isolation guidelines and handwashing policies.
P erforms other duties as assigned.
