AdventHealth in the Kansas City area is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time Day shift. You will adhere to medication safety policies, maintain professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families, and evaluate the nursing plan of care to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Nursing with active RN license or NCLEX, 2+ years of acute care experience, and commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Active RN license or NCLEX pass letter is required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies.
• Maintains professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families.
• Evaluates the nursing plan of care.
• Communicates patient responses to the nursing plan to team members.
• Participates in practice changes due to performance improvement.
• Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring.
• Supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Maintains safe practice through unit-specific competency and regulatory compliance.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines and handwashing policies.
• Performs assigned duties for smooth department operation.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Records and accesses patient information in EMR.
• Sets and achieves patient goals based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Assists providers with bedside procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
