Job summary
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks registered nurses for the Saint Cloud VA Health Care System, Community Living Center. This OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT will remain open until filled; eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) applies.
Nurses will provide hands-on care and support Veterans through all health journey stages in a mission-driven team. Preferred qualifications include ADN/ Diploma with licensure, BSN, and a strong commitment to holistic, evidence-based
Qualifications
- English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN or CCNE.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted nursing registration in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to a designated Veteran population residing within the Community Living Center.
- Complete nursing assessments including physical, psychosocial, emotional and mental status and risk factors.
- Develop an initial plan of care with the interdisciplinary care team (IDT).
- Collaborate with pharmacist and IDT for medication management and quarterly reviews.
- Assist in discharge planning and transitions to home care; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
