Job summary

Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Carolina seeks an experienced RN Vent Unit Manager to lead the dedicated Ventilator Unit and promote high-quality resident care. You will supervise staff, coordinate admissions and discharges, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, teamwork, and staff development, with a focus on respiratory care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NC RN license or eligible Compact State license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Ventilator and respiratory care experience required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Ventilator Care, Sub-Acute or Post-Acute Care preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to lead with confidence and support a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily Ventilator Unit operations.
• Mentor and support nursing staff to promote clinical excellence.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges for continuity of care.
• Ensure CMS/state regulatory compliance.
• Oversee documentation, QA activities, incident reporting and staff evaluations.
• Ensure staffing, supplies, medications, and equipment for safe resident care.
• Conduct staff meetings and provide education and professional development.
