Job summary

Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate, experienced RN Vent Unit Manager to lead our Ventilator Unit and ensure high-quality resident care. You will oversee daily clinical operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with DON, physicians, and respiratory therapists to uphold regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted North Carolina RN license or eligible Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Ventilator and Respiratory Care experience required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care / Ventilator Care / Sub-Acute Rehabilitation / Post-Acute Care preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills.
• PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily clinical operations of the Ventilator Unit.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff to promote clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant DON, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote individualized care planning and exceptional clinical outcomes.
• Assist with daily nursing operations, staffing needs, and clinical decision-making.
• Participate in the nurse manager on-call rotation.
• Maintain CMS, state, federal, and facility regulatory compliance.
• Oversee clinical documentation, quality assurance activities, incident reporting, and staff evaluations.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, supplies, medications, and equipment to support safe resident care.
• Conduct staff meetings, provide education, and encourage professional development.

As our RN Vent Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of our specialized Ventilator Unit while promoting quality resident care, staff development, teamwork, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the daily clinical operations of the Ventilator Unit.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff to promote clinical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
