Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a registered nurse for the UCH Anschutz Inpt Pavilion in Aurora, CO. The role focuses on vascular access assessment and services, including PICC placement, ultrasound-guided IVs, and care collaboration with the patient care team.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EHR, evaluating patient needs, and potentially precepting students or new hires. Nights shift with a 72-hour biweekly schedule; strong ICU/ED RN or PICC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required and state licensure in place.
• BLS through AHA/Red Cross for Professional Rescuer with current card.
• 6 months of RN experience required (RN preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides vascular access services to UCHealth patients.
• Assesses patient for appropriate vascular access and collaborates with care team.
• Places PICCs, midlines, ultrasound-guided IVs or recommends alternatives.
• Documents vascular access actions in the EHR.
• Assesses learning needs and may precept staff or students.
