Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for an onsite IV/PICC vascular access role in Aurora, CO. The position requires night shifts and full-time hours (72 hours per two weeks) with pay between $37.06 and $57.44 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include assessing vascular access needs, placing PICC lines or IVs, documenting actions in the EHR, and collaborating with the care team to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (or graduate from an approved nursing program) with current license.
• Minimum 6 months of RN experience.
• BLS certification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to identify appropriate vascular access device(s) and place PICC lines, midlines, or ultrasound-guided IVs.
• Document vascular access actions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate with the care team to optimize patient care based on meds, diabetes, and treatment length.
• Educate staff, patients and families; delegate tasks as appropriate; precept learners as needed.
