Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Utilization Management Coordinator in Central Georgia to ensure treatment plans align with payer requirements and pre-authorization processes. You will review concurrent cases and coordinate with payers to support timely authorizations while prioritizing high-quality patient care.

The role requires RN or LPN licensure with oncology experience and entails 0–25% travel. This is a full-time position based in Macon, GA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current LPN or RN licensure.
• Two years LPN/RN experience; physicians practice; oncology preferred.
• Two years experience in utilization management and obtaining insurance authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent review of patient information to ensure active pre-authorization for treatments.
• Review precertification and authorization requests for medical necessity and approvals.
• Communicate with payer plans regarding authorization requirements and coverage determinations.
• Provide timely updates to physicians and clinical teams regarding status and determinations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all pre-authorization, precertification and payer communications.
