Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a per diem on-call Urgent Care Nurse (RN) for the Somerville campus. You will address patients' wellness and urgent illnesses, performing problem-focused assessments within the CHA RN role and Massachusetts state standards.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a BSN preferred, BLS certification, and 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in ED/urgent care. IV/phlebotomy skills are also required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• 2 years current nursing experience required; 1 year ED/Urgent Care experience preferred.

Work Schedule: Various Shifts

The Urgent Care Nurse (RN)in partnership and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, addresses patients' wellness and urgent illnesses. Urgent care nurses use the nursing process to perform a problem-focused assessment of the patient's primary concerns in the Urgent Care. Practice is commensurate with the standards of the Massachusetts State Nursing Act and CHA's delineated RN role, responsibilities and competencies.

Qualifications/Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred
American Heart Association BLS required
2 years current nursing experience required. 1 year current Emergency Department/Urgent Care experience required.

Recent IV/ phlebotomy skills required.
