Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Cambridge Hospital is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a full-time role on Med Surg 4 West. The unit is a 32-bed adult telemetry unit; shifts include 0700-1930 with a 36-hour work week, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.

This position offers a potential $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. The RN will provide compassionate patient care for GI, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions, guided by Nursing Standards of Care, and will

Qualifications

• Current MA RN license required.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide patient care for Med/Surg patients per Nursing Standards of Care.
• Demonstrate initiative and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs; assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and educate patients.

Med Surg 4 is a 32 Bed adult medical surgical telemetry unit. Our goal is to promote and restore patients' health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. We provide care for a diverse patient population including GI, cardiovascular, and respiratory illnesses. We deliver care with an emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of health in a supportive and culturally

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. They will demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care and directly reports to a designated nurse manager, clinical manager, or off shift manager.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Current MA RN license
• AHA BLS
• 2 years current Med/Surg RN experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
