Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Director of Urgent Care to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across multiple urgent care sites in Maine and New Hampshire. The role requires an RN with strong regulatory and quality focus, able to lead teams, improve access to care, and ensure high‑quality patient care.

The position reports to the Vice President and offers enterprise‑wide impact with opportunities to expand access, scale services, and drive performance across the network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in ME or NH, with ability to obtain in both states preferred.
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience—ambulatory or urgent care preferred.
• Direct experience with ambulatory regulation, quality standards, and operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for one or more urgent care locations across Maine and New Hampshire.
• Expand access to care and lead development/growth of urgent care services.
• Partner with Medical Director to advance clinical standards and engage care teams.
• Ensure regulatory readiness across the urgent care portfolio and oversee quality and safety initiatives.
• Lead workforce effectiveness, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability across sites.
