Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco is seeking a Unit Supervisor to lead the Friedman Unit(s) and support the Clinical Unit Manager in delivering high-quality post-acute and long-term care.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care plans, set schedules, and ensure compliance with CDPH and CMS guidelines while maintaining compassionate, resident-centered service. This role entails rounds, discharge coordination, QA activities, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license and BSN required.
• Minimum 1 year clinical work in post-acute/long-term care.
• Knowledge of state/federal guidelines (CMS/CDPH) preferred.
• Strong leadership and teaching abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary team and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds at shift start to assess resident needs and supervise care.
• Coordinate with attending MD regarding changes in condition and orders.
• Oversee medications, treatments, and nursing services per care plan.
• Manage admission/discharge processes and MAR/TAR transcription.
• Plan, evaluate, and implement unit improvement initiatives.
• Develop and support the nursing team and staff education.
• Monitor QA activities and drive performance improvement.
• Ensure staffing levels meet admissions and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership to maintain quality service and patient experience.
