Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking an experienced Unit Supervisor to lead the Friedman Unit(s) under the Clinical Unit Manager. You will plan, organize, and implement nursing care strategies to ensure high quality care for residents in a post-acute/long-term setting.

Responsibilities include rounds, MD coordination, medication oversight, admissions/discharges, program planning, staff development, and CDPH readiness.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license and BSN required.
• At least one year of clinical work in post-acute/long-term care.
• Knowledge of State and Federal/CMS guidelines preferred.
• Ability to lead and teach staff; coordinate multi-faceted programs.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds at shift start to assess residents and supervise care.
• Discuss changes with attending MD and ensure signatures are obtained.
• Oversee medications, treatments, and nursing services per care plans.
• Manage admission/discharge orders and transcription of MARs/TARs.
• Plan, evaluate, and adjust unit programs; provide leadership and role modeling.
• Ensure compliance with regulations; prepare for CDPH surveys and plan of corrections if needed.
• Staff development, performance feedback, and staffing optimization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for integrated care and quality improvement.
• Participate in committees and quality assurance activities.
• Conduct routine performance evaluations and drive performance improvement.
