Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco is seeking a Unit Supervisor to manage the Friedman Unit(s) and lead nursing care strategies in alignment with regulatory guidelines. You will support the Clinical Unit Manager and ensure high-quality resident care across post-acute and long-term settings.

Responsibilities include rounds, care plan adherence, discharge coordination, program development, staff supervision, and CDPH survey readiness.

Qualifications

• Current California RN licensure and BSN required.
• At least one year of clinical work in post-acute/long-term care.
• Knowledge of state and federal guidelines preferred.
• Able to demonstrate leadership and teaching skills.
• Able to coordinate multi-faceted programs and resolve problems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds at shift start to assess residents and supervise care.
• Discuss changes with attending MD and ensure timely signatures.
• Oversee medications, treatments, and nursing services per care plan.
• Manage discharge orders and transcription of MARs/TARs.
• Plan, evaluate, and adjust programs; act as professional role model.
• Monitor QA/I and initiate improvement plans as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for integrated care.
• Prepare for CDPH survey and develop plans of correction when required.
• Hire, orient, and continuously educate staff; supervise performance.
• Ensure adequate staffing and adherence to ratios; monitor schedules.
