Job summary

Vierra Falls Church Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Unit Manager (RN) to lead nursing services in a skilled nursing facility in Falls Church, VA. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8am–4:30pm, and is Exempt/Essential personnel.

The Unit Manager oversees staff performance, coordinates resources, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains a high standard of patient care. Requires RN/LPN, CPR, 2+ years direct care experience in long-term care, and prior nursing management

Qualifications

• A nursing degree/diploma (RN/LPN) from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an LPN/RN.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing management as RN and >3 years as LPN.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must meet state licensure requirements and have no disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency with HRIS and timekeeping software.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
• Review complaints and grievances and report as required.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies; notify Central Supplies as needed.
• Assist in developing assessments of nursing needs for residents.
• Ensure nursing assignments are completed as indicated.
• Encourage staff training participation and scheduling.
• Review nurses’ notes for accuracy and resident response to care.
