Montcare Wheaton is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead our rehabilitation and skilled nursing unit in Wheaton, Maryland. You will oversee daily operations, ensure quality patient care, and maintain a positive work environment for staff.

You will provide strategic leadership to the nursing team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive performance through staffing, training, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Unit Manager or in a leadership role.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
• Passion for patient-centered care and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and high-quality patient care
• Develop and implement unit goals, objectives, and policies to achieve excellence in patient care and satisfaction
• Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration among staff
• Ensure effective staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet the needs of our patients and staff
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop training programs to enhance staff skills and competence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans and improve patient outcomes
• Monitor and report on unit performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to address them
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a focus on patient safety and risk reduction
