Description

Waterview Hills Campus is home to Waterview Hills and Salem Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare: Two facilities committed to providing outstanding Subacute Rehab and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care. Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, and direct staff in clinical and personnel issues on the Long-Term or Short Term Unit.
• Coordinate resident care in accordance with State DOH regulations.
• Support residents and families in clinical issues and challenges.
• Ensure staff adherence to safety and infection control guidelines.
• Establish daily operations for resident care, including showers, toileting, meals, medication, and activities.
• Communicate with the Interdisciplinary Team to meet resident and family needs.
• Perform daily rounds and assessments on residents as required.
• Develop and document care plans for residents.
• Oversee and supervise unit activities and staff assignments, including CNA duties.
• Communicate pertinent resident findings to team members.
• Assist and orient new staff members as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or at least three (3) years of experience in long-term care.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in healthcare settings.
• Desire to work with elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped populations.
• Thorough knowledge of residents' medical, social, and psychological needs.
• Good judgment in emergencies, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.
• Covid-19 vaccinations encouraged but not mandatory.
