Job summary

Leewood Healthcare Center in Annandale, Virginia seeks a Unit Manager to assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day nursing operations to meet federal, state, and local standards and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will supervise nursing staff, participate in policy development, quality assurance, and committee activities, and coordinate with administrators to maintain compliant, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department.
• Supervise and evaluate unit secretary assigned to unit(s).
• Participate in Facility surveys (inspections) by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services.
• Develop and monitor discharge plans and coordinate with the Care Plan Committee.
