Job summary

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit in Palm Beach County, FL. This full-time role runs 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM and offers a salary of $77,500–$87,500 annually, reflecting strong clinical leadership and a commitment to resident-centered care.

The RN Unit Manager will plan, organize, and direct nursing services, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric settings.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing management or supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active RN license in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
• Nursing home experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily nursing operations on the assigned unit.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Supervise nursing staff, assign duties, and support professional development.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy and quality of care.
• Address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances in collaboration with leadership.
• Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and MDS completion.
• Maintain appropriate levels of medications, supplies, and equipment.
• Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and resident-centered care.
• Monitor infection control practices and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with life safety drills as needed.
• Provide direct patient care and assume nurse assignments when required.
