Job summary

Hagerstown Nursing and Rehab in Hagerstown, MD seeks an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff, coordinate care, and ensure quality resident outcomes. You will supervise shifts, manage staffing, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering teamwork across disciplines.

Experience in long-term care and strong leadership are required; CPR certification and active RN license in Maryland are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Must possess a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in long term care.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Previous supervisory/management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sufficient nursing staffing levels for quality resident care.
• Work with staff scheduler to monitor attendance and disciplinary actions.
• Identify staffing changes and communicate with Director of Nursing.
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees.
• Develop and communicate shift assignments and monitor performance.
