Job summary

Elderwood Administrative Services is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager for Elderwood at Ticonderoga to provide 24-hour clinical leadership and oversee a nursing unit. This leadership role requires strong clinical expertise, communication, and a commitment to high‑quality resident care.

The RN Unit Manager will guide the development and evaluation of resident care plans, collaborate with physicians and families, and coach nursing staff to ensure compliant, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• State RN license and current registration required.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience with at least one year in nursing leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Strong managerial leadership and written/verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and resident care for assigned unit.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary goals and approaches to resident care needs.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance and address concerns appropriately.
• Support staffing needs, including participation in hiring and employee development.
• Ensure accurate nursing documentation, reporting, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized unit environment.
• Promote resident rights, dignity, preferences, and quality of life.
