Riverdale-Rehab-and-Nursing-Center is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to oversee daily patient care, supervise nursing staff, and report to the Director of Nursing. You will ensure quality care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with families and health teams in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes staff development, policy implementation, and process improvements, with responsibility for budgeting, equipment, and QAPI collaboration in a busy care center.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in NY.
• LTC experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices and regulations for nursing care centers.
• PCC/SigmaCare experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day patient care and supervise nurse staff.
• Coordinate and enforce policies and procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and interpret nursing division's standards of care; enforce state regulations.
• Recruit, orient, and train nursing staff and auxiliaries.
• Schedule and assign staff; monitor work results and coaching as needed.
• Maintain compassionate environment and support for patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient needs and QAPI goals.
• Manage budget, equipment maintenance and inventory.
