Job summary

Moorings Park Communities is seeking a dedicated Unit Manager (RN) to oversee nursing care for residents, reporting to the Director of Nursing. The role provides hands-on support and training to nurses, promoting quality of life and dignity for residents.

The Unit Manager leads staff development, coordinates with leadership teams, and ensures high standards of care while guiding a collaborative, resident-centered team.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• 3 years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Geriatric nursing experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned patients and supervise nursing interventions.
• Lead resident care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Coordinate with DON/ADON/MDS to improve quality measures.
• Ensure survey readiness and maintain care standards.
• Provide staff development and coaching; retain and develop staff.
