Swanton Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Unit Manager (RN) to lead a licensed nursing team and collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary staff. You will guide care on the unit, support staff, and ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, adherence to care plans, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. A strong nurse with leadership experience is ideal for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Previous leadership, charge nurse, or unit management experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A compassionate, professional leader who truly cares about residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support licensed nurses and STNAs on your unit.
• Provide hands-on clinical leadership while reinforcing best practices and facility protocols.
• Oversee resident care plans, assessments, documentation, and follow-up with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in daily clinical meetings, care conferences, and quality initiatives.
• Address resident and family concerns with empathy and prompt follow-through.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including infection control.
• Serve as a positive role model who fosters accountability and teamwork.
