MediLodge of Mt. Pleasant is seeking an Infection Preventionist to coordinate the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program and provide total nursing care guidance to staff. You will supervise clinical team members and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

The role emphasizes data analysis, staff education, and outbreak containment, ensuring resident safety and quality care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state of employment and CPR certified.
• Minimum two years nursing experience with infection control training.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report infection data and trends to nursing staff.
• Consult on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies.
• Provide education and training and implement evidence-based infection control practices.
• Oversee surveillance systems, define metrics, and feedback results to caregivers.
• Monitor standard precautions and outbreak containment efforts across the facility.
