Job summary

Springfield Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit, ensuring resident care is comprehensive, person-centered, and compliant with regulations.

The role requires an active PA RN license, BLS CPR, a nursing degree preferred, at least five years of nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience; we offer full-time hours, competitive pay between $79k and $125k, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for resident care on the assigned unit.

• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed.
• Assist in policy/procedure development and evaluation.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff.
• Monitor care plans compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of PA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
