Job summary

University City Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Unit Manager for a full-time role. The position oversees nursing operations on an assigned unit, ensuring resident-centered care and high-quality outcomes.

A PA RN license and BLS are required, with 5+ years of nursing experience and 2+ years in supervision preferred. The facility emphasizes compassionate care, strong leadership, and collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork to support residents and staff in a 124-bed Sub-Acute

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in Pennsylvania.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting with follow-up to the Administrator and DON.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the DON.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care.

• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
