Job summary

Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing unit and ensure safe, high-quality care for residents.

You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs and collaborate with physicians and therapy staff, coordinate care plans, monitor regulatory compliance, and support staff development in a fast-paced post-acute setting in Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in PA.
• Experience in nursing leadership preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the assigned nursing unit.

• Review and ensure accurate completion of nursing documentation and medical records.

• Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care, concerns, and changes in condition.
• Monitor medication administration and ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, and coverage as needed.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
• Participate in staff education, training, and competency programs.
• Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.

Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our clinical leadership team. The RN Unit Manager will oversee the day-to-day nursing operations of an assigned unit while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
