Job summary

ArchCareCareers in New York is seeking an experienced Nursing Administrator to oversee the quality of nursing care and ensure compliance with approved standards across the facility.

You will delegate resident care to unit heads, supervise staff, and report on resident status, admissions, and documentation. BSN preferred; NY RN license required; 2+ years nursing administration experience.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Registered Nurse License.
• 2 years of Nursing Administration experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee that approved standards of resident care are maintained across the facility and supervise the quality of nursing care.
• Delegate direct resident care activities to Head Nurse/Nurse in Charge of each unit.
• Supervise, evaluate, counsel, and coach care staff on assigned units.
• Identify and resolve problems at the unit level.
• Keep the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of residents’ status via verbal reports and written reports.
• Make daily rounds, check each floor, and review acutely ill residents, admissions, and follow-ups.
• Audit charting and documentation periodically.
• Ensure proper execution of physician orders.
• Address resident and family concerns professionally and tactfully.
• Submit weekly and monthly reports on statistics, meetings, and other pertinent information.
• Attend continuing education classes to maintain professional competency.

• Responsible for identifying and resolving problems at the unit level.
• Keeps the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of resident’s status through verbal communication and written reports.
• Makes daily rounds, visits every floor of responsibility, and checks acutely ill residents, admissions, and follows up on residents.
• Performs periodic audit of charting and documentation.
• Assures proper execution of physician's orders.
• Deals effectively, professionally, and tactfully with resident and family concerns.
• Submits weekly and monthly reports on statistics, meetings, and other pertinent information.
• Attends continuing education classes, seminars, workshops to maintain professional competency.

Qualifications:
