Job summary

Spring Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Unit Manager for a full-time role in New Jersey. The unit manager will oversee nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensure residents receive comprehensive, person-centered care.

We value clinical leadership, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to high standards. Compensation ranges from $79k to $110k per year, all-inclusive, reflecting experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NJ (unencumbered).
• BLS/CPR certificate required.
• Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting with follow-up and communication to the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.

• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.

• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.

• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.

• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.

• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of NJ.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
