Job summary

Berlin Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Unit Manager for the Subacute Unit. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with same-day pay and a salary range of roughly $79,000 to $100,000 per year.

The Unit Manager will oversee nursing operations, lead clinical staff, and ensure high-quality, person-centered resident care. The role emphasizes leadership, policy implementation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Must hold an active NJ RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for resident care on the unit.
• Coordinate and oversee nursing care to support function and outcomes.
• Ensure timely incident reporting and communication with leadership.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed.
• Assist in policy development and evaluation for clinical needs.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff.
• Monitor care plans for compliance and quality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for resident-centered care.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.


• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.


• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.


• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.


• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.


• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.


• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in New Jersey.


• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.


• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.


• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.


• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
