Job summary

Alpine Valley Post Acute seeks a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit, ensuring safe, resident-centered care. The role emphasizes clinical leadership and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to uphold quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a PA-licensed RN or LPN with CPR/BLS, a nursing degree, and at least five years of nursing and two years of supervisory experience in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations on the assigned unit.
• Coordinate resident care to promote highest physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting with follow-up and communication to Administrator and DON.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the DON.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Unit Manager oversees nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensures residents receive comprehensive, person-centered care.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of PA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
