Job summary

Ambassador Healthcare at College Park in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and support to our nursing team on the day shift.

This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead quality resident care, oversee staffing, participate in QAPI initiatives, support the MDS process, and coach staff to uphold compassionate, high-standard services.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of skilled nursing facility experience.
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with reducing overtime and agency utilization.
• Address employee concerns, performance issues, and staff development needs.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluate staff competencies and provide ongoing education and training.
• Support the MDS process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident care and discharge planning.
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered nursing environment.

Salary: $77,500–$87,500 annually
