Ambassador Healthcare at College Park in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership for the nursing unit and empower a dedicated team of nurses.

This full-time, day-shift position offers a salary of $77,500-$87,500 annually, with duties including overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in QAPI initiatives to improve resident care.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of the assigned nursing unit
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with reducing overtime and agency utilization
• Address employee concerns, performance issues, and staff development needs
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Evaluate staff competencies and provide ongoing education and training
• Support the MDS process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident care and discharge planning
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered nursing environment
