Job summary

Ambassador Healthcare at College Park in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership for the nursing unit on a full-time day shift.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida RN license, has at least 2 years of skilled nursing facility experience, and excels at staff supervision, QAPI initiatives, and care coordination.

Competitive salary range of $77,500–$87,500 annually plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience.
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of the assigned nursing unit
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with reducing overtime and agency utilization
• Address employee concerns, performance issues, and staff development needs
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Evaluate staff competencies and provide ongoing education and training
• Support the MDS process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident care and discharge planning
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered nursing environment
