Job summary

Ambassador Healthcare at College Park in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and support to our nursing team. This Full-Time, Day Shift role focuses on delivering high-quality resident care and developing a strong, empowered nursing staff.

The RN Unit Manager will oversee daily clinical and operational activities, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in QAPI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience.
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with reducing overtime and agency utilization.
• Address employee concerns, performance issues, and staff development needs.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluate staff competencies and provide ongoing education and training.
• Support the MDS process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident care and discharge planning.
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered nursing environment.
