Job summary

Cumberland Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to coordinate nursing care delivery and lead the nursing team in a long-term care setting.

You will oversee staffing, ensure policy adherence, monitor performance, and contribute to quality improvement while maintaining open communication with residents, families, and the DON.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN or LPN license in the state where the facility is located.
• Must possess a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in long-term care; CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sufficient nursing staffing levels to deliver quality resident care.
• Monitor staff attendance and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.
• Communicate staffing changes with the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Develop and communicate shift assignments and monitor performance.
• Ensure all nursing staff follow established policies and procedures.
• Evaluate staff performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Respond to resident/family and staff concerns in a timely and effective manner.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives with interdisciplinary staff.
• Follow up on written pharmacy and dietary recommendations.
• Assist with monthly changes in physician orders and review telephone orders.
• Engage in effective communication with the DON/designee and understand financial aspects of nursing operations.

Job Summary:

As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of nursing care, providing leadership to the nursing staff, and ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure interdisciplinary staff participation

• Engage in effective communication with DON/designee and maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial aspects of nursing operations
