Job summary

Aventura at West Park is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing unit and support daily operations. You will provide clinical leadership, supervise nursing staff, coordinate care, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.

The successful candidate will oversee care planning, documentation, and regulatory compliance, collaborate with physicians and families, and drive performance improvement while maintaining a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Current, active Ohio RN license required.
  • Graduate of an approved nursing program.
  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehab, or similar setting preferred.
  • Experience as Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, or nursing leadership role required.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, resident care, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with care planning, assessments, clinical documentation, and coordination of resident care.
  • Knowledge of MDS and interdisciplinary care planning preferred.
  • Leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate nursing staff.
  • EMR systems proficiency.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership for the assigned nursing unit.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
  • Coordinate daily nursing activities and assignments based on resident needs.
  • Monitor residents' conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented.
  • Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation and nursing records.
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Monitor medication administration, treatments, and nursing practices for compliance with facility policies.
  • Assist with staff education, training, and performance development.
  • Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor staffing needs and assist with maintaining appropriate coverage.
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

Aventura at West Park is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and support the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or a similar healthcare setting preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, or in a nursing leadership role required
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, resident care, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with care planning, assessments, clinical documentation, and coordination of resident care.
  • Knowledge of MDS and interdisciplinary care planning preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate nursing staff.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
