Aventura at Carriage Inn in Dayton, OH is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care team. The RN oversees daily clinical operations, assesses resident conditions, and implements care plans to promote well-being and safety.

You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, document care, and participate in quality assurance activities. Active RN license, ADN/BSN, and CPR/BLS are required; long-term care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and respond to changes in health status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care.
• Document care accurately and timely in accordance with state, federal, and facility requirements.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and regulatory surveys.
• Educate residents and families regarding care plans, health conditions, and treatment options.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
• Serve as a role model for professionalism, accountability, and resident-centered care.
