Job summary

Resorts at Chester River Manor in Maryland seeks an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee resident care, lead nursing staff, and advance clinical excellence within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

As a nurse leader, you will coordinate day-to-day operations, participate in care planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor RNs, LPNs, and GNAs to deliver resident-centered care. This full-time role offers competitive pay and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Must have current Maryland RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of CMS regulations, Maryland nursing regulations, and standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and GNAs.
• Ensure residents receive exceptional care per physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Monitor documentation, assessments, treatments, and medication administration for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct clinical rounds and address resident and family concerns proactively.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Assist with quality assurance, infection prevention, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, complete follow-up documentation, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Assist with staff education, coaching, and performance improvement.

What You'll Do
