Position Summary: Organize and assign all jobs to be done on his/her shift so that the work load is evenly divided among his/her employees on the basis of staff size and qualifications, pass medications at the appropriate times, and care forthe clinical nursing needs of residents on his/her wing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties.

2. Excellence in all aspects of quality nursing including exceptional care.

3. Good managerial, organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.

4. Leadership qualities that motivate and direct the nursing staff.

5. Be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner.

6. Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly.

7. Knowledge of OBRA, ODH, and HFS regulations related duties and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Nurse's license in the State of Ohio.

2.Must have working knowledge of general nursing.

3.Must be qualified to assume the position by training and /or previous experience of a supervisory status, preferably in a health care facility.

4.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and maturejudgments.

5.Must have the ability and the willingness to supervise and work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

6.Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
