Job summary

Pomeroy Living Sterling Skilled is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead nursing operations within our skilled nursing facility. The successful candidate will oversee nursing staff, ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active Michigan RN license, has proven leadership in long-term care, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Michigan.
• Experience as RN Unit Manager or in a leadership role within skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Strong clinical knowledge with hands-on nursing care ability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on the unit to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and implement care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient care for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and staff development.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient records and nursing activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
