Job summary

ExcelCare At the Pines in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong support for the nursing team.

You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, participate in care plan meetings, and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers while fostering a positive, resident-centered work environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervising, supporting, and mentoring LPNs and CNAs on the unit.
• Ensuring residents receive high-quality nursing care per care plans and physician orders.
• Monitoring resident conditions and communicating changes with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Completing and reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participating in care plan meetings and collaborating with other departments to support resident needs.
• Assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Addressing staff concerns and helping maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
