Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a Unit-Based Nursing Leader to partner with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to oversee clinical services on the unit. The role involves directing nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality care, and promoting patient safety and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in nursing (Master's preferred), RN licensure in the state, and demonstrates supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent required.
• Five years' technical experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• RN licensure in state of practice required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides unit-based leadership and directs nursing staff to develop and revise care plans for optimal patient care.
• Fosters patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and communication.
• Ensures compliance with patient safety goals and quality measures across the unit.
• Assesses staffing needs, assigns personnel, and manages schedules to balance patient acuity and staff skills.
• Maintains department safety and equipment, partners with facility services, and monitors budget to minimize overtime.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
