Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for 7N IMCU, a 16-bed unit delivering highly skilled nursing care. You will lead safety and quality initiatives, supervise staff, and help optimize workflow under the department manager.

The role requires 18 months of nursing experience and a BSN, with Master’s degree preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing. Virginia RN license and BLS within 90 days of hire are required.

Qualifications

• 18 months nursing experience required.
• BSN degree required; Master degree preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.
• Virginia RN License required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on workflow optimization, and contributes to staff development.
