Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Neuro IMCU on third shift. The role requires 18 months of nursing experience and a BSN; Master’s degree is preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing, then the BSN is required.

You will lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on workflow improvements, and contribute to staff development while delivering high-quality care to stroke, epilepsy, neurosurgery, and other neuro patients.

Qualifications

• 18-months nursing experience required.
• BSN Degree required; Master degree preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.
• Virginia RN License required.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives, optimizes workflow, and contributes to staff development.
