Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Medical Telemetry Unit on the Night shift. The RN Unit Coordinator provides clinical leadership for nursing care, leads safety initiatives, and supports staff development to ensure outstanding patient service.

Education: BSN is required; MSN preferred. Licensure: RN license with BLS within 90 days; ACLS and NIH within 1 year; specialty certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 months of acute care RN experience required.
• Telemetry and/or Medical Surgical experience preferred.
• RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• ACLS within 1 year; NIH within 1 year; professional specialty certification preferred.

NIGHT Shift

The Registered Nurse Unit Coordinatordemonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Education

• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required) Or

• MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Registered nursing License (Required)

• BLS required within 90 days of hire

• Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire

• NIH within 1 year of hire

Experience

• 18 Months of acute care RN experience(required)

• Experience in Telemetry and or Medical

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Acute Care nursing background preferred
