Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telephone Triage to support patient care by assessing needs via inbound and outbound calls. This full-time role requires Illinois RN licensure and BLS, with typical hours Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:30pm and no travel.

The RN Telephone Triage Nurse will provide education, clinical assessment and problem-solving to callers, maintain excellent communication, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure is required.
• BLS CPR certification through AHA is required.
• Knowledge of physician practice operations is expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to handle high-stress and difficult patient situations.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $35.15 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

• Full Time: 40 hours/ week
• Hours: M-F Generally 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Travel: No

What you will do:

The RN Telephone Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse and responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice. Continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities.

What you will need:

• Current Illinois RN licensure
• CPR BLS - AHA
• Operational knowledge of physician practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Possesses professional telephone etiquette skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be a self-starter, able to handle frequent periods of high stress and difficult patient situations.
• Must possess excellent time management skills.
• Must possess basic keyboard, computer and internet skills.
• Ability to talk on the phone and type simultaneously.
