Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse Triage (RN) for telephone-based patient care. Location includes Elmhurst and Lombard, IL, with full-time hours and some travel to other sites. Office hours run Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

The RN will assess callers, educate patients, and coordinate care with clinicians to address acute and preventive needs. The role requires an Illinois RN license and AHA CPR certification; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• BSN preferred; Office RN experience valued.
• Self-starter able to handle periods of high stress.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Phone triage and assess caller needs with active listening.
• Provide patient education and guidance.
• Perform Continuous Glucose Monitor placement and testing.
• Handle insurance pre-authorization and referrals.
• Clean and stock exam rooms.

Hourly Pay Range: $35.15 - $54.48 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN)

Location: 1200 S York St, Elmhurst and 130 SMain St, Lombard, IL

Full Time: 40 hours / week

Office Hours: Varies Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Travel Required: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice. The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities. The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention.
