Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse Triage (RN) in Nephrology to manage patient needs via inbound and outbound calls. The RN will assess callers, provide education, and perform advanced problem-solving to address acute and preventative needs. Position includes glove-free triage, education, and coordination with care teams.

The role requires IL RN licensure and AHA CPR certification; BSN preferred. Travel to other locations and flexible hours may be required to meet operational needs.

• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Office RN and BSN preferred.
• Self-starter able to handle periods of high stress.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both written & verbal.

Hourly Pay Range

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - Nephrology

Location: 1200 S York Street, Elmhurst, IL

Full Time: 40 hours / week

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Travel Required: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice. The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities. The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention.

Duties include: phone triage, patient education and continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.

Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress

Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands

Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.

Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal
